Who’s Ollie?

It all started with my own wedding and a very long editing session.

I’m Teresa, a filmmaker with a degree in Cinema, a soft spot for documentaries, and probably an unhealthy amount of love for wedding films.

I had already been working on weddings for other companies when I edited my own wedding film. Somewhere between the emotional moments, the endless footage and far too many hours of editing, I thought: I could actually do this my way.

And so, Ollie happened.

Today, my husband is part of the team too, because apparently one filmmaker in a marriage wasn’t enough. We’re also joined by a small group of filmmakers we trust completely, all with backgrounds in Cinema, whenever we need a few extra cameras (and people who know what they’re doing).

We love weddings because, much like documentaries, they’re full of real people, real stories and wonderfully unpredictable moments.

Our job is to turn all of that into a film that makes you laugh, cry, and, hopefully, forget for a moment that you’re watching your own wedding.

Oh, and Ollie? It’s a nickname for Oliveira — my family name. So there’s a little bit of family in the name, too.
